To always enjoy delicious tea, you need to take care in storing your tea leaves
Sencha is a delicate beverage, and factors that cause it to deteriorate include oxygen, humidity, temperature, and ultraviolet light. Before opening, it is best to
store it in a refrigerator kept at around 5-10°C, in an airtight container (such as a vacuum-sealed aluminum bag). After opening, it is not recommended to store it in the refrigerator because it easily absorbs odors from other items.
Also, repeatedly taking it in and out of the refrigerator will cause it to absorb moisture, leading to a deterioration of the tea's flavor.
As a precaution when opening the container, condensation may form on the surface when you take it out of the refrigerator, so please do not open the container immediately. Allow it to return to room temperature before opening
After opening, store the tea in an airtight container such as a tea caddy or sealed bag in a cool, dry place like a cupboard, and consume it as soon as possible. The tea is best enjoyed
within one month of opening to maintain its flavor.
Recently, titanium tea caddies, which effectively block ultraviolet light and prevent odor transfer, are also available.
