The reason why we decided to create this site is that we heard from the Kakegawa Chamber of Commerce and Industry that there is no inbound page for Kakegawa Matcha.
There are famous matcha production areas such as Uji and Nishio, but Kakegawa’s matcha is different because it is made from deep steamed tea.
We hope that more people in Japan and abroad will learn about Kakegawa matcha.
I hope that more people in Japan and abroad will learn about Kakegawa matcha. In addition to matcha, I also created this website to let people know about Kakegawa’s main industries, sencha (deep steamed green tea) and Japanese black tea, which has a beautiful bright red color.
I used to work for a tea shop, and my grandfather was a tea farmer.
