This museum mainly houses collections of tobacco paraphernalia, netsuke, sword guards, and other items from the Edo period, as well as a collection of modern Japanese paintings from the Meiji period.
It also features works by famous Japanese painters such as Taikan Yokoyama, Shinsui Ito, Seiho Takeuchi, and Gyoshu Hayami.
The collection consists of items donated by a businessman from Kakegawa City.
Those who enjoy inlay work will find the detailed craftsmanship of pipes and other items particularly enjoyable. This museum is also recommended for foreign visitors.
