TakenoMaru was built in 1903 by the Matsumoto family, who ran the kuzufu cloth wholesaler Matsuya, which had been in business since the Edo period.
Kuzufu cloth is a traditional woven fabric of Kakegawa.
You can enjoy cakes made with Kakegawa tea and Shiranui oranges, as well as drinks made with Kakegawa ingredients.
The location is within Kakegawa Castle Park.
